The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 was enacted with a view to consolidate and amend the laws relating to reorganisation and insolvency resolution of corporate persons, partnership firms and individuals in a time-bound manner for maximisation of value of assets of such persons, to promote entrepreneurship, availability of credit and balance the interests of all the stakeholders.
The program shall elucidate on various aspects of the procedures and financial considerations including opportunities provided in terms of revival, restructuring and acquisition of corporate debtors under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The role of the Resolution Professional vis-à-vis the corporate debtor, creditors and stakeholders would also be discussed. Opportunities for companies to acquire other companies can also be discussed.
