ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
USA traditionally has been one of the largest trade partners of India. Both the countries have been keeping good trade relations and healthy business transactions for the last several centuries. With the advent of modern means of communication and transportation, volumes of trade and business connections are expanding in leaps and bounds. Further, of late, India has become one of the major buyers of even American businesses including small and medium companies.
Starting a business in US involves planning, making key financial decisions and completing a series of activities. There are few steps, if followed logically can help one to plan , prepare and manage new businesses like writing a Business Plan, get business assistance and training, choosing a Business location, obtain business license and permits, etc. The workshop will cover all these steps which make the entrepreneurial journey in US a lot easier.

- A brief introduction to the US market along with some interesting facts
- Opportunities for Indian companies and small entrepreneurs

- Understanding the corporate structure, how to set up an office and hire employees
- Accounting, Tax, Immigration and other regulatory issues
- Q&A session.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Prakash Iyer, President, VXL Services Inc.
Prakash Iyer is an accomplished Accounting and Tax professional with over 20 years corporate experience in US and India. He is a Charter Member of TiE New York, a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship and also conducts tax and accounting workshops to educate and inform individuals and firms. Some of the workshops include how to set up US operations, introduction to the complex world of the US tax code, business plan preparation and fund raising.
He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from NJ State, a Chartered Accountant from India and an MBA in International Finance and Business from Boston University. In his spare time he devotes his time to various local charities and causes that can bring about a meaningful change. He frequently visits India on business and time permitting conducts workshop for startups and small companies in India trying to tap the US market. He is slated to conduct various workshops in TiE Pune, Jaipur, Kerala and Chennai in the month of August.
