As one the foremost bi-lateral Chambers of Commerce, IACC is committed to promotion of Indo US commercial ties. Recent years have seen a manifold increase in bi-lateral trade interest and it is the need of the day to have an association as a point of guidance. IACC provides the ideal platform for a vibrant membership which represents every sector of the industry while pursuing a common goal of Indo-US trade development . This make the branding of IACC so unique.
In the wake of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Mody, to the US , the Indo US relation has reached a new high . It is hoped that the momentum of this heartening resurgence of the bi-lateral ties will continue to go from strength to strength.
Rising above the constraints and hindrances, the Eastern Region enjoys unparallel potential and unrealized possibilities. The `Look East’ policy has been an added stimulus for the East India Council to foster Indo US trade, in the East , North East, Orissa and Bihar. Presently, the rise in Indo- US partnership has led to inauguration of US business Centres in Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam and other North eastern States apart from Kolkata. Business opportunity and joint venture possibilities in the fields of Civil, Aviation, IT, Agriculture sector, Food processing, Tourism, Education , Mines and Minerals and many more areas are being explored. Towards this endeavor, the continued support to IACC from the US Consulate and the Foreign Commercial Service has been an inspiration to venture forward and explore possibilities in the North East, revive Orissa and inaugurate a Desk in Patna which includes members from Jharkhand as well.
With the changing scenario, I am confident that this is an opportune time for the Chamber to move many steps forward towards its objective and the Eastern Region will be able to illustrate a number of success stories
