It is a proud privilege for me to act as the President of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce for Western India. The Indo American Chamber of Commerce was founded in Bombay in 1968 and I became a member of IACC soon thereafter. The IACC has always been in the forefront in providing opportunities for Businessmen and professionals from India in interacting and forming links with US counterparts. We have always maintained close links with the U.S. Consulate officials.
This is the best time in decades as far as U.S. India relations. Both countries want to improve and strengthen their business relationships with one another and IACC is the only bilateral body that can help in making things happen. I was in New York and Washington when Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his first visit to the U.S. and could see the change in the perception of India in the eyes of American businessmen as I had worked for many years in New York and Washington.
High ranking Cabinet members participated in the Annual Convention and Seminars organized by IACC. The programs we plan to hold with the assistance of all of you will take IACC to even greater heights. I am hopeful that this will be the best year for IACC which can only be achieved with the cooperation and support of the members of our Executive Committee. Forums have been planned for this year by our National President Dr Lalit Kanodia, and they will bring more recognition of the activities of IACC. Let us work together to make this happen.
