About the Session
A year has passed since the entry into force of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which has been a major adaptation challenge for Multi-National Companies. The Indian Data (Privacy and Protection Bill), 2017 which is still pending to be passed into legislation, is much more in line with GDPR. As the same government has come to power, the introduction of the Bill in Parliament is imminent and predictable.
Key Take Away from the program:
The companies can learn from the experiences and challenges faced by European companies after implementation of GDPR and prepare themselves. Timely awareness of requirements and adequate investment in protecting the personal data, will give a competitive advantage and a reputational bonus to the companies. The breach can be more expensive than the adaptation. The session will be addressed by experts from Roedl Partners Mr. Dharm Veer Singh Krishnawat and Mr. Sahil Khatri.
