In this session Prof. Shivaram Malavalli presented on the Innovation Led Entrepreneurship with a special reference to
Cross Border Entrepreneurship.
The objective of the event was to help innovative, commercial and global product ideas move beyond the concept
phase, create a global network of people, funds and resources and make it accessible to all entrepreneurs of Indian
origin, curate and mentor ideas and help them be found by investment capital and encourage execution through global
teams- increasing cross border collaboration.

The session aimed to usher a new breed of Indian entrepreneurs who think global and think product- transforming India
from a country of service driven innovation to one of global product innovation.
Prof. Shivaram Malavalli has 35 years of Industrial, Technical Education and Research experience, especially developing
Technocrat Entrepreneurs and supporting them during their establishment, sustenance and growth. He was the
architect in the establishment, sustenance and growth of the first Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP) in
the country and was instrumental in this STEP getting the National Award, instituted by the Department of Science &
Technology, Govt. of India, as "BEST STEP" in the country from among fourteen STEPs. .He was the architect in
establishing SEED (Software Entrepreneurs and Employees Development) a Technology Business Incubator (TBI)
