The new industry policy would also focus on encouraging the manufacturing sector and on better employment
generation. A special officer would be appointed in the region, to resolve the issues related to the industries. More
industries and better infrastructure would be developed in the region, as part of Chennai- Bangalore-Mumbai industrial
corridor. Manufacturing sector is the mother sector as it supports auxiliary industries and creates more job
opportunities, she said.
The government is trying to create an investment-friendly environment in the state, and to solve the problems being
faced by the industrialists. Industrialists of this region should strive hard to bring Hubli on the world map of industries,

was moderated by Mr. V Srinivasan, Director, SJS Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Dinesh Dhadute stated that one should not wait for outsiders to come and start a firm at his hometown, but should
take the initiative on his own. North Karnataka region has all the potential and it just needs a trigger for the industrial
growth, he noted.
