Currency Risk Management through Currency Derivatives on September 12, 2013, at Gujarat Chamber of
Commerce Hall, Ahmedabad
Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) Gujarat Branch, in associated with Kunvarji Finstock Pvt Ltd and National
Stock Exchange of India Ltd organized a seminar on ”CURRENCY RISK MANAGEMENT THROUGH CURRENCY
DERIVATIVES" on 12th September, 2013 at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Hall, Ahmedabad.
Mr. Mihir Joshi - IACC, Chairman welcomed & introduced Mr. Mihirsinh Parmar, Assistant Manager - National stock
exchange of India and Mr. Dilip Parmar, Sr. Research Analyst Currency - Kunvarji Finstock Pvt Ltd to the audience. Mr.
Joshi said that in this extreme fluctuation in currency prices, it is necessity for Indian corporate and traders including
importers, exporters, SMEs / MSMEs, banks, to adopt adequate risk management measures to protect their businesses.
The seminar was an attempted to delve into what the future road map should be for Indian businesses for hedging risks
against unpredictable currency movements. Mr. Mihirsinh Parmar gave brief idea about, What is Derivatives, The
Foreign Exchange Market- Characteristics, Exchange Traded Currency Futures, Exchange Traded Currency Options,
RBI Circular, How to Trade on NSE, CDS- Screen etc.
Mr. Dilip Parmer gave very informative presentation on Forex Market Dynamics, Factors Influencing the Currency
Market, Current Environment, Derivative as function of hedging i.e. Currency Hedging through Currency Derivative-
Future and Options, Short Term and Long Term Outlook on Dollar. Members found the seminar very interesting and
knowledgeable .The programme was followed by Hi-Tea.
