Rapid globalization of the Indian economy and increasing cross border transactions with in multinational groups has
caught the attention of tax authorities in India.
Transfer pricing has been the prime focus area for tax authorities and the same is reflected in the increasing cases of
transfer pricing adjustments, proactive stands taken across India against the tax payer.
With a quest for safe harbors, clarity on tax positions, reduced litigation and to provide a certain business atmosphere
required for the taxpayer along with the Indian Governments’ need for an effective tax mechanism to boost foreign
investment in India, an introduction of the APA program in 2012 has clearly been the need of the hour for MNCs in India.
The APA program was recently announced & is expected to usher in a whole new dimension to the transfer pricing
landscape in India.
With this background, Indo American Chamber Of Commerce- Pune Branch organized a program on Advanced Pricing
Agreement - ‘Is the Advance Pricing Agreement Solution to Uncertainty! ’On August 21, 2013 at Hotel Ramee Grand,
