On the eve of International Women's Day, the Women's Business Council (WBC) , of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (Karnataka) pays tribute to women leaders at Bangalore who have lit their own blaze on the horizon.

Has Gender become a noisy , overrated non - issue ? Are we taking the progress of women for granted ? Perhaps we are, and perhaps even with good reason. However, all of us still need to understand the fire and brimstone that today's women require to succeed. And what is still left to be done . Today's panelists will help us do just that . With increasing globalization, the role of Indian women in management and business is increasing, and women are hitting the business headlines and bottom lines hard and fast. Women everywhere have a right to celebrate their own dizzying progress, and today its fair to say, that men have joined the party.

Increasingly companies realize the value that women bring to their companies and the differential impact they make on its performance. Today's companies heavily invest in their base of women employees to nurture the leaders of tomorrow. Today, the business case for Gender Diversity in the Workplace will ensure more and more women step out and claim their place in the sun- with confidence, assurance and self worth.

We invite four leaders to share their experience as women managers and leaders with us in an interactive session. We have an excellent representation of women leaders from four different arenas, in our panelists below : Not-for-Profit, Corporate India , Global Information Technology , and Entrepreneurship . Each one will bring in a unique and diverse perspective on their own mantra for success .
